Several people have received e-mails from their COs in the last few days. The COs all seem to be saying that they think the situation will become clearer from about the end of October - they think it will not take long to get the 3 CSL categories up and running in accordance with the new Direction.

On Tusday 20th October the Minister faces an all day grilling from the Senate Standing Committee on Immigration & Citizenship. The Senators on the Committee are bound to ask the Minister to explain how & why the Drection of 23rd September is required, what it is intended to achieve - and why - etc.

My feeling is that we should all sit tight for the next 3 weeks until we know what the Minister has told the Committee
